My Happy New Year

To The People Who Helped Hold it Together

You know who you are. I do not need to name you here!

As the year draws to a close and I sit with the quiet that comes before a new beginning, I find my mind less focused on resolutions and more drawn to reflection. To the moments that shaped this year. To the people who made it survivable and in many ways, beautiful.

This is for you.

Thank you for holding my hand when I did not have the strength to reach out for yours.

Thank you for wiping my tears without making me feel small for having them.

Thank you for seeing something in me worth believing in, even on the days I could not see it myself.

Thank you for pushing me further when I was ready to settle, and for never letting me stay down long enough to forget that I could get back up.

Thank you for checking on me quietly, especially those small moments of how are you really today that meant more than you will ever know.

Thank you for staying when you had every reason and every opportunity to be somewhere else.

Thank you for your patience as I stumbled through growth that was not always graceful or easy to witness.

Thank you for loving me through the versions of myself that were hardest to love.

Thank you for helping me find the pieces and sitting with me while I put myself back together.

Thank you for celebrating my wins as if they were your own because in many ways, they were.

Thank you for reminding me, on the days I could not see it, that tomorrow exists and that it holds something worth moving toward.

Thank you for being the kind of person that makes someone else's life fundamentally better simply by being in it.

My wish for the year ahead is a simple one.

To be for you what you have been for me. To show up the way you showed up. To love the way you loved. To hold space the way you held it, steadily, generously, without keeping score.

I do not take lightly what it means to be loved well. This year reminded me of that more than any other.

So thank you. For all of it. For being you. For choosing to be in my life.

I am better because of you.

Wishing you and yours a new year filled with the same quality of love and presence you so generously gave this year.
